About the Opportunity

Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is offering an exciting Sector Specific Trainee Programme for motivated individuals who want to start a career in the logistics and transport industry. This 12-month structured training programme is designed to create a pipeline of skilled professionals for key roles within TPT.

The programme aligns learners with their academic background, career aspirations, and business needs, while providing hands-on experience in a world-class operating environment.

Preference will be given to candidates residing in the West Coast District.

Position Purpose

The purpose of this training programme is to:

• • Equip trainees with practical skills and knowledge.
  • Provide exposure to different business areas within TPT.
  • Build a strong foundation for future career opportunities in logistics and transport.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sector Specific Trainee, you will:

• Follow a structured training programme.
• Participate in performance reviews and assessments.
• Carry out duties as outlined in your development plan.
• Perform additional tasks reasonably required by Transnet Port Terminals.

Minimum Requirements

• • Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
  • TVET N6 in Logistics/Transport (advantageous)
