Position Overview

Eskom Rotek Industries is seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Investigation Officer to join the Risk and Strategy Division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and reporting on investigations into irregularities, security breaches, and criminal activities within the business unit environment.

This is a Task Grade Q13 position designed for a professional with strong investigative expertise and integrity.

Purpose of the Role

To conduct detailed investigations into irregularities, criminal incidents, and breaches of security within Eskom Rotek Industries, ensuring that findings are clearly documented and recommendations are provided to enhance operational integrity and security.

⚙️ Key Performance Areas

✅ Conduct comprehensive and confidential security investigations.
✅ Compile detailed investigation reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations.
✅ Provide post-investigation support and follow-up where necessary.
✅ Offer consultative and advisory support to business units on investigative and security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
Grade 12 (Matric)
National Diploma (NQF Level 6, 240 Credits) in one of the following fields:

  • Security Management

  • Policing

  • Forensic Investigations

  • Criminology

  • Law

  • Statistics

Additional Requirements:
Valid Driver’s Licence
No criminal record

Experience:
️‍♂️ 2–5 years of experience in criminal investigations

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge Areas:

  • Criminal and security legislation

  • Investigative principles and evidence collation

  • Governance and compliance protocols

  • Situational monitoring and reporting standards

Skills:
✍️ Report writing and documentation
️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Decision-making and analytical thinking
⚖️ Ability to manage multiple investigations under pressure
Interaction with senior management and law enforcement agencies

Remuneration

Market-Related Package
Contract Period: 24 Months
