POST 39/318: CLEANER
SALARY: R102 534 per annum CENTRE: De Doorns CC, Breede Valley Sub District
THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience: Appropriate experience in cleaning. Inherent requirements of the job: Strength to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies and working at heights requiring the use of a stepladder. Rotate in different departments according to operational needs and requirements. Release groundsman duties when necessary. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Capacity to effectively communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Strength to operate machinery and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General cleaning and maintenance (i.e. sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, cleaning of windows and walls), refuse removal and cleaning of garbage bins daily, toilets, sluices, and drains. Gather all litter from 209 entrances, foyer, and waiting areas daily. Assure that cleaning equipment is clean after usage and securely stored. General maintenance of clinic grounds. Adhere to safety measures when handling waste. Relieve groundsman duties when necessary.
